Q: What is hydroseeding?  

A: Hydroseeding is a cost‑effective seeding process that sprays a slurry of grass seed, mulch, fertilizer, and water directly onto your soil or overseeded. Each application is tailored through a soil analysis, ensuring the right blend for faster germination, stronger roots, and healthier grass compared to traditional seeding. 

Q: Do you charge by the square footage?

A: We don’t use a “per square foot” rate because every lawn requires a customized slurry mix. Unlike other companies that charge a flat rate per sf, we tailor our pricing to your property’s soil needs. 

During the initial visit, we collect a soil sample for an analysis to add the correct amendments, ensuring fair, accurate pricing and healthier long-term results. This way, you’re never overcharged, and your lawn gets exactly what it needs to thrive.

Q: Is hydroseeding better than sod?  

A: Yes, hydroseeding is often more affordable than sod and allows grass to establish stronger roots in your soil. Sod provides instant coverage, but hydroseeding delivers long‑term durability at a lower cost.

Q: What type of seeds do you have for residential?

A: First, we use only high-quality seeds grown in weed free enviroments. For warm weather seeds we have Bermuda, Centipede, Zoysia, Bahia and for cool weather we have Clovers, Rye, Fescue, Contracto's mixes.

Q: When do you start hydroseeding for residence?

A: We start seeding in April, after the last frost, with Centipede and Bahia and in May for Zoysia, Carpet grass and Bermuda. For Zoysia, I highly recommend getting it done as early as possible in the season because the window for seeding is short.

Q: How long does it take for hydroseeding to grow?  

A: With proper watering and care, you’ll see grass sprouting in 7–10 days. A full, lush lawn typically develops within 4–6 weeks.

Q: What areas do you serve?

Q: Do you travel outside of Columbia for hydroseeding?

A: Yes, we will travel within and outside of SC for hydroseeding and erosion control

A: Absolutely. Hydroseeding is widely used for erosion control because the mulch and seed mixture binds to the soil, preventing runoff and stabilizing slopes.

Q: What payments do you accept?

A: We accept cash, checks, Venmo, CashApp, and CC or DC via QuickBooks with a 4% fee.
